Self-tape setup
My setup is simple on purpose. This is everything I use, and nothing I don't.
iPhone
My camera for every self-tape. I keep one of the newer iPhones for the better camera, and I use it for everything else every day.
CraftGeek tripod / selfie stick
Holds my phone at eye level for every tape. It's magnetic and folds up small, so it travels with me.
Apogee HypeMiC
I plug it into my laptop, record in GarageBand, then bring the audio into CapCut.
Rode Wireless (2-pack)
For anything with dialogue, plus my YouTube videos and a lot of my content for Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.
Manhasset music stand (black)
Holds my iPad with my script or sheet music, just under the frame. Made in the USA and built to last. Every performer should have one.
LumiCube Ring Light Pro
Side fill only. It's battery powered, so it goes anywhere, and it's white, so it disappears.
Kate fabric backdrop
I use the gray one for self-tapes and on-camera auditions. It comes in lots of colors and sizes. I like fabric much better than paper.
Editing + apps
What I use to edit tapes and find tracks.
CapCut Pro
All my editing. Pro gives you desktop and mobile, and I use both. It's easy to line up audio and export in high resolution.
GarageBand
Where I record my Apogee mic before bringing the audio into CapCut. It's free on Mac.
PianoTrax
An app full of musical theatre accompaniment tracks, great when you're filming a lot of tapes.
Apple Music
My go-to for listening to cast albums and finding new audition material.
For my acting career
The two memberships I pay for every year as a working actor.
Actors Access (annual plan)
For auditions I self-submit for, and for my agent to submit me. The annual plan is worth it long term.
IMDb Pro
For research, and for my profile: my demo reel, headshots and credits all live there. If you're doing film and TV work, you need that profile now. It's how you network and get found.

Squarespace
My entire business runs on Squarespace: my website and portfolio as an actor and coach, client scheduling, my blog, my store, digital products and programs, and my Tuesday Notes emails. It's what I recommend to performers building their own site.
Google Workspace
I use everything in it: my professional email, calendar, Drive and spreadsheets. It also connects to my YouTube channel and the Google ads on my blog.
