A Career Spent Teaching What I Live
Two decades performing, a decade teaching at the university level, now guiding performers and artists through auditions, careers, and the business of building a life in this industry.
A coach who has been on every side of the table
I've been a professional performer for over two decades, with a BM and MFA in Musical Theatre and nearly a decade as a university professor. Right now, I'm actively auditioning and booking across musicals, plays, film, verticals, commercials, and industrials. That combination is rare, and it matters. I'm not theorizing about an industry I left. I'm in it right now, navigating the same uncertainty my clients face. That's not a talking point. That's my edge.
The conversations don't stop at audition strategy. We talk about the whole picture: your online presence, the business side of this life, and the parts that actually keep you up at night.
Every session ends with a clear next step, not just a good conversation. You leave knowing exactly what to work on, at a pace that doesn't overwhelm you.
Ways We Can Work Together
Coaching for the Work Itself
Performance coaching for the audition itself, whether it's a self-tape or an in-person room. Song and scene selection, the technical setup that makes your tape land, and the presence and confidence that carry you whether the casting director is on a screen or sitting three feet away.
Coaching for the Business of It
The practical, real-world side of this business: casting lanes, marketing yourself, agent submissions, and reels and headshots that actually represent you. The industry shifts constantly, and it's easy to feel behind or unsure where to focus. Whether you're just starting to figure it out or coming back to the industry after time away, this is where we build a clear, specific plan.
Coaching for How You're Found
Websites, casting profiles, and the online presence that actually feels like yours. You leave knowing how to update it, own it, and keep it current on your own. I'm a Squarespace Circle member, so you're working with someone who builds professional client sites on the platform every day.
Who I Work With
Performers returning to the industry after years away, sometimes a decade or more, relearning self-tapes, casting profiles, agents, and how much has changed since they last auditioned.
Working performers at every stage, refining casting lanes, agent strategy, and the material that gets them seen.
Current college students and recent graduates building the professional foundation their programs didn't cover.
Vocal coaches, teachers, and other creatives, not just performers, who need a website and online presence that actually works.
What they all have in common: they've hit a moment where they know what they need help with, and they're ready to move on it.
Session rates
Quick Session. 30 min. $50
A specific question, answered. A gut-check before you submit, quick performance coaching on a self-tape or upcoming callback, a check-in on a website or online presence project you're building yourself, or thirty focused minutes on the one thing you need clarity on right now.
Standard Session. 45 min. $75
Room to actually dig in. Full audition or callback prep when you've got a real packet of material to work through, a strategy session on your next career move, or working through a website or online presence question that needs more than a quick answer.
Deep Dive. 60 min. $99
The most-booked session, and usually the right one. New clients getting the full picture, major transitions like returning to the industry after time away, or a full hour to work through more than one thing at once, career strategy, audition prep, online presence, whatever deserves real time and an honest conversation.
Student Session. 45 min. $50
For current college students building the parts of a career that live outside the classroom. Casting lane discovery, casting profiles, agents, summer stock and post-grad audition strategy, or just a mentor in the industry, someone real to talk to about what's actually going on.

Jerrod Cate — Actor & Singer
"I've gotten things done that I've been meaning to do for years, creating a YouTube channel, reel, new headshots, and a website. Now I feel like I've taken control of my career and I'm able to run it like a business."
Vanessa Evans — Actor, Singer, Director
"After college, I had a hard time finding where I belonged because I felt alone and scared to have a niche. Ashlee helped me find a clear lane to work in, not to get rid of my range, but to market myself professionally and confidently."
Maddie Cook — Actor, Singer & Dancer
"Ashlee has been a true godsend for me. She helped me redesign and update my website, build an email list, and create a professional email campaign to promote my shows. I just had my NYC cabaret debut at 54 Below with her help."
Laurie Roldan — Cabaret Artist
"I met Ashlee after receiving zero acceptances to any MT programs. With her guidance, I received 5 acceptances into well-renowned programs. She never spoon-fed me, she has an amazing ability to bring out your own interpretation through the questions she asks."
